UP clears eco-restoration project for Barsana hills to boost tourism in Mathura

The Uttar Pradesh government has sanctioned an eco-restoration project to revitalize the hills surrounding Barsana in Mathura, aiming to boost tourism and restore the region's spiritual and ecological significance. The initiative includes planting native trees, water harvesting, and fencing, starting with the Rakauli hill. Additional projects include Yamuna ghat rejuvenation, Shilpgram creation, and improved infrastructure along pilgrimage routes.
