Great Ocean Road (Victoria)

One of the world’s most scenic coastal drives, the Great Ocean Road winds along Victoria’s rugged coastline and offers views of the Twelve Apostles.

The Great Ocean Road stretches for 243 kilometers along Victoria’s southern coast, offering dramatic views of cliffs, beaches, and lush rainforests. A highlight of the journey is the Twelve Apostles, towering limestone stacks rising out of the Southern Ocean. Along the way, visitors can stop at quaint seaside towns like Lorne and Apollo Bay, or take detours to explore the Otway National Park, known for its waterfalls and hiking trails. The road was built by soldiers after World War I and serves as a war memorial. Surfing, wildlife spotting, and visiting heritage sites are among the many activities along this iconic route.
