Use three bases
Begin with three nights in Singapore, continue for four nights in Kuala Lumpur or Penang, and spend the remaining week in one Thai region. Do not add Bali, Vietnam and Cambodia merely because flights exist; every border and airport consumes meaningful time.
Choose the Thai finish by season
Bangkok plus a nearby cultural destination works year-round with heat and rain planning. A beach finish depends on the exact coast and month. Check marine forecasts and avoid tight international connections after ferry travel.
- •Days 1–3: Singapore.
- •Days 4–7: Kuala Lumpur or Penang.
- •Days 8–14: Bangkok and one compatible extension.
- •Keep one unreserved weather day.
Handle borders carefully
Verify visa and arrival-card rules for every passport and land or air entry. Use official immigration sites, keep onward-travel evidence accessible and never carry goods for another person.
